Les Canailles has anchored Rue Ontario Est since 2011, one of the restaurants that helped kick off Hochelaga's bring-your-own-wine scene before the neighbourhood's current wave of openings. Chef Georges Blais (who also runs Dur à Cuire in Longueuil) built a French bistro menu with Spanish and Italian touches — mussels and fries on Wednesdays, a dozen oysters for $15 on Sundays — served in a relaxed, unpretentious room. Open Wednesday through Sunday evenings, closed Monday and Tuesday.
