Café chez Téta

227 rue Rachel Est (angle Laval), Montréal

Opened in October 2020 by partners Antoun Aoun and Mélodie Roukoz, the name "Téta" is Lebanese for grandmother. The room pairs third-wave coffee with Lebanese classics made from locally sourced ingredients — the manoucheh, baked in an oven imported directly from Lebanon, is the real signature, alongside hummus and traditional Turkish coffee. Order the half-cheese-half-zaatar manoucheh or the full zaatar flatbread, plus the lahem bi'ajin.
