Bar de Courcelle

4685 Rue Notre-Dame Ouest

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

A bar operating under the same name for more than fifty years in Saint-Henri, taken over in 2013 by Tony Campanelli, Alex Le Jeune, Eric Le François and Jessi Lee Favard, who kept the period décor rather than recreate it — metal-clad counter and tables, a 1960s-70s diner feel.

Live bands play Mondays and Wednesdays, with an open mic on Sundays. The wine list is curated by Favard, cocktails by Arnaud Leduc; duck tartiflette and chili con carne are among the shared plates.
