On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.
Café-pâtisserie opened in April 2025 on Rue Saint-Jacques by Andrea, a former financial analyst of Togolese-Beninese heritage who trained as a pastry chef in France. The kitchen blends French technique with West African flavours: croissant and pain au chocolat made with egusi (pumpkin seed) almond cream, chouquettes with cashew cream, pistachio financier.
Savoury sandwiches with grilled tchatchanga beef or spiced mackerel, plus hibiscus juice and a white chocolate-moringa latte, round out the menu. The spot made Tastet's list of the best new cafés of 2025.
Maison Aïdo is on the Regulars map — spotted, not yet visited. Our guides are written on foot, door by door, and no one pays to appear: when we walk through the door, this note will become a portrait. No points. No coupons. Standing is earned.
