Arthurs Nosh Bar

4621 Rue Notre-Dame Ouest

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Opened on Notre-Dame Ouest by Raegan Steinberg and Alex Cohen, former Back of House caterers, and named for Steinberg's late father Arthur. The kitchen, inspired by New York's Russ & Daughters, blends Cohen's Moroccan roots with Steinberg's Romanian ones; the latke smorgasbord and syrniki (cottage-cheese pancakes) are signature.

The mostly private-import wine list was built by Ryan Gray (Nora Gray) and Cassady Sniatowsky. The pair have since run a pop-up at Le Cathcart and opened a sister spot, Arthur's Dinette, in NDG.
