On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.
Italian café opened in 2010 on Notre-Dame Ouest by Tony Campanelli and his wife Sophie Hébert. The all-wood interior was built by Tony's father, cabinetmaker Nicola Campanelli, whose portrait still hangs on the wall; about twenty counter-only seats.
Coffee comes from Barista (a custom house blend), pastries from Pétrin Fou, and desserts — including a lemon pie singled out by Tastet — are made in-house by Sophie Hébert.
Campanelli is on the Regulars map — spotted, not yet visited. Our guides are written on foot, door by door, and no one pays to appear: when we walk through the door, this note will become a portrait. No points. No coupons. Standing is earned.
