Vieux-Port Steakhouse

39 rue Saint-Paul Est

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

An Old Montreal institution since 1983, the first restaurant opened by the Antonopoulos Group, now behind several Montreal addresses. The house serves AAA-certified, aged Canadian beef cuts inside a century-old building with stone walls, hardwood floors and fireplaces.

Known for the quality of its meat and personalized service, it also benefits from a leafy interior courtyard popular in summer, set among old stone and greenery.
