On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.
Greek bakery in Parc-Extension established in 1971, named for Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of beauty. The Karagiannidis family — father Anestis, later joined by son Vasilios — runs the shop; the space was expanded and modernized in 1998, with décor recalling classic Italian and French pâtisseries.
The house blends French and Greek pastry traditions: baklava, melomakarona, kourabiedes, tsoureki, tiramisu, and spanakopita in both flaky filo squares and hand-pie form. It has served the neighbourhood's Greek community for more than fifty years.
Pâtisserie Afroditi is on the Regulars map — spotted, not yet visited. Our guides are written on foot, door by door, and no one pays to appear: when we walk through the door, this note will become a portrait. No points. No coupons. Standing is earned.
