Indian address in Parc-Extension, a fixture of the neighbourhood since the early 2000s. Owner Suresh, originally from Gujarat, wanted to introduce Montréal to Bombay-style cooking adapted to Western palates — hence the name, "Mahal" meaning palace. The success of the Jean-Talon location led to a second room on Mont-Royal in the Plateau.
