Chand Palace

989, rue Jean-Talon Ouest, Montréal

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Family-run Indian restaurant at 989 Jean-Talon West, run since 2011 by chef-owner Amrik Singh, just steps from the well-known Bombay Mahal. The kitchen centers on its thalis — vegetarian, chicken or lamb — served as a fixed menu at lunch and dinner, alongside butter chicken and onion kulcha naan.

A bring-your-own-wine policy and fast service have made it a standout, singled out by Tastet among Montreal's best Indian restaurants.
