Olive et Gourmando
351, rue Saint-Paul Ouest, Montréal
On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.
Opened in June 1998 on Rue Saint-Paul Ouest by Dyan Solomon and Eric Girard, who met while working at Toqué!, Olive et Gourmando began as a simple bakery counter in a then-quiet Old Montreal.
More than 25 years later, the house still turns out house-made bread, pastries, and paninis, and has become a fixture for neighborhood regulars and visitors passing through Rue Saint-Paul alike.
