La Cave à Manger

386, rue Saint-Paul Est, Montréal

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Set inside the Bonsecours Market, La Cave à Manger is the project of Raphaël Creton, who grew up above his father Yvon Creton's restaurant À L'Aventure, run for 30 years on Place Jacques-Cartier, before turning to baking.

The concept pairs bakery and wine shop in a compact space: organic-flour breads and viennoiseries alongside a mostly natural wine selection from local producers and private imports, sold at cellar prices rather than restaurant markups.
