Restaurant Mélisse

719, rue William, Montréal

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Opened on Rue William by Caroline Desagné, already known in Old Montreal for running nearby Soupesoup, Mélisse takes its name from lemon balm, an herb known for its soothing qualities.

The Mediterranean-leaning cuisine, shaped over time by chef Bertrand Giguère and more recently by chefs Sloane Lamarre and Maude Bourgault, changes with the seasons and leans on fresh ingredients paired with natural wines, across both lunch and dinner menus.
