Satay Brothers
3721 Rue Notre-Dame Ouest
On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.
Founded in 2010 as a hawker-style stall at Atwater Market by brothers Alex and Mat Winnicki, who grew up in Saint-Henri, before settling on Notre-Dame Ouest in 2013 and doubling capacity to 130 seats in 2023. The name, chosen on their father's advice, replaced "Winnicki Brothers."
The concept honours their mother Kim, a Singaporean immigrant nurse; her dessert recipes remain on the menu alongside the laksa, rendang, and otak otak (grilled fish in banana leaf).
