Pizzeria Melrose

5779, rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montréal

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Pizzeria opened in August 2015 by Éric Denommée (also behind MED and Brunoise), Paolo Oliveira and Didier Housseaux, who saw NDG lacking a solid neighbourhood pizzeria. The space housed a fur store for more than 60 years; the large vault once used to store the coats is still visible at the back of the room and can be booked for private events.

The Neapolitan-style dough proofs for 72 hours. Salads and other Mediterranean staples round out the menu.
