Motto Handroll Bar

473 rue Saint-François-Xavier

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

A handroll bar recently opened on Saint-François-Xavier Street in Old Montreal, led by chef Daniel Ken, of Japanese and Brazilian origin. The counter seats only about twenty, focused on made-to-order handrolls with tuna, salmon and seasonal fillings.

Studio Sangare designed a magenta-toned interior with white drapery suspended above the sushi counter — a bold visual signature for this new, intimate neighbourhood address.
