Hana Korean Steakhouse

301 rue Le Moyne

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Opened in Old Montreal by Hanhak Kim and David McMillan — also behind Bar Otto, Otto Yakitori and Pony BBQ — after sixteen months of development. Chef Wongoo Jeon, who arrived from Korea more than twenty years ago and previously worked at 9 Tail Fox as well as Michelin-starred Mingles in Seoul, runs the kitchen.

The concept, new to Montreal, combines a Korean steakhouse with a tasting menu built around beef dry-aged in house for at least thirty-one days, grilled tableside on Japanese downdraft grills. The design is by Zébulon Perron.
