East Africa Restaurant

5893, rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montréal

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Family-run Ethiopian restaurant established on Rue Sherbrooke West since around 2011, where everything is cooked to order, according to The Main, which included it in its guide to Montreal's best African restaurants.

The menu remains resolutely Ethiopian — doro wott, doro alicha, beef tibs, vegetarian stews of red lentils, yellow split peas or shiro — served on house-made injera, alongside salads such as azifa.
