Capisco

85 rue Saint-Paul Est

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Opened in October 2024 on Rue Saint-Paul East, in the former Papillon space, by chef Marcel Olivier Larrea with partners David Dumay and David Schmidt — the team behind Mezcla, Chifa and Tiradito. After pairing Peru with Japan and then China, Larrea here explores the historical ties between Peru and Italy.

The name Capisco nods to pisco, the Peruvian spirit. The 70-seat room features vintage tile and custom chandeliers for this Italian-Peruvian fusion cuisine known as "bachiche."
