On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.
A low-key bistro that opened quietly in February 2026 on Boulevard Saint-Laurent, steps from Jean-Talon Market, from veterans of Salle Climatisée and Le Plongeoir — John Hale and Antoine Denis on the floor with Taylor D'Ottavi, and chef Darcy Gervais-Wood (ex-Maison Publique) in the kitchen. The short menu leans on French classics: smoked cheddar gougères, mushroom velouté, steak frites, and beef tartare with tarragon bearnaise.
The wine list runs over 200 references, with notable depth in Champagne and Jura. Cult MTL called it "an authentic example of what a bistro ought to be," while Tastet praised cooking that's "precise, good, consistent, affordable."
Bistrot Boisselet is on the Regulars map — spotted, not yet visited. Our guides are written on foot, door by door, and no one pays to appear: when we walk through the door, this note will become a portrait. No points. No coupons. Standing is earned.
