Bacaro Pizzeria

5950, avenue de Monkland, Montréal

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Venetian-style pizzeria-bar on Monkland, one of six Bacaro locations across the greater Montreal area (alongside Ville Mont-Royal, Plateau-Mont-Royal, La Prairie and Charlemagne). The concept borrows from Venice's bacari — small neighbourhood bars where locals stop for a drink or a quick bite with friends.

Wood-oven pizza and pasta anchor the menu, with ingredients sourced from Italian importers and fresh local suppliers, according to the chain's official site.
