Vices et Versa

6631 Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Montréal

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Terroir bistro and beer bar opened February 5, 2004 by Sébastien Gagnon, then 23 — billed by its founders as Montreal's first microbrewery bar of its kind. Gagnon later became president of Brasserie Dunham.

The room now runs about forty taps devoted to independent Québécois brewers and beers brewed specially for the house, paired with gourmet poutines and daily specials that showcase Quebec terroir artisans. Located across from Parc de la Petite-Italie on Boulevard Saint-Laurent.
