Le Café Bloom

1940 Rue du Centre

On our map. We haven't walked through the door yet — here's why it's on the list.

Café that opened in 2012 on Rue du Centre, its name borrowed from a character in James Joyce's Ulysses. A Moroccan-tile counter and vintage feel set a communal tone valued in the neighbourhood.

The menu, built around local ingredients, runs to salads, tartines and soups, with a Belgian chocolate tart as the signature dessert — staples Tastet ties to the café's warm atmosphere.
